Overdraft Protection Credit Line
Apply for this service, and if approved, you will
be granted a Line-of-Credit loan that can be used to cover
your overdrafts.
How Does the Overdraft Protection Credit
Line Work?
If your checking account becomes overdrawn, we will automatically
pay up to the amount of your predetermined credit limit. The
funds will be transferred from your credit line in increments
of $50.00 to cover your overdraft.
How Do I Repay the Credit Line?
The payment due date on your account will be 15 days after
your checking account and overdraft line of credit statement
date. This payment will be automatically deducted from your
checking account on your due date. You may make additional
payments on this account at anytime without a repayment penalty.
Is There a Fee for This Service?
Yes, there is an annual fee of $25.00 for personal accounts
and $50.00 for business accounts, which will be charged to
your checking account automatically each year.
In addition, you will be charged interest on the amount of
money borrowed through your credit line. Current interest
rates will be provided at the time you apply for the Overdraft
Protection Credit Line.
If you happen to exceed your Overdraft Protection Credit
Line limit, your checking account will be considered overdrawn
and may result in items being returned to the payee. You will
also be charged our normal nonsufficient funds fee of $30.00
for each item.
How Do I Sign Up for This Service?
You must first complete a credit application and be approved
for this service since the Overdraft Protection Credit Line
is a loan. Once approved, a credit line note will be prepared
and will require the signature of all owners on the account.
Once signed and implemented, you will have ongoing access
to your credit line.
Are There Any Other Requirements or
Limits?
To qualify for an Overdraft Protection Credit Line to be
tied to your checking account, you must meet our normal credit
standards as you are applying for a loan.
