What is Xpress BillPay?
Xpress BillPay is the free and easy way to pay your bills
online without ever having to leave the house. Pay bills in
minutes, any time of the day or night – even while on
vacation! It’s fast and handy; no more trips to the
post office, envelopes, stamps, or racing to make it before
the office closes. Safer than writing checks, your payments
are processed on our secure network. Xpress BillPay is so
convenient, you can even pay your bills in your pajamas.
What bills can I pay?
You may pay any bill - such as utilities, department stores
and credit cards. You may also pay anyone - such as your family
and friends. The only bills we are aware of that you cannot
use this service for are government agencies (i.e.: IRS, Child
Support). You are in complete control of when you want your
bills paid.
Recurring bills, such as mortgage payments or car payments,
need to be entered only once. If you choose this option, the
bills will continue to be paid according to your schedule
as long as you wish.
Do I need a separate ID to access Xpress
BillPay?
No, you will be able to access Xpress BillPay through your
Xpress Net Banking ID.
What if my vendor doesn't accept electronic
payments?
When you set up your vendor, Xpress BillPay will indicate
whether payments can be sent electronically. If electronic
payments cannot be sent, a check is printed and mailed to
the vendor.
Are there any charges for this service?
No – All CSB checking account customers receive Xpress
BillPay at no charge.
When will my account be debited?
In order to allow enough time for the transaction to
reach your vendor, you must schedule it to be paid before
it is actually due.
Xpress BillPay provides two (2) processing runs per day.
The deadlines for processing will be 3:00am and 1:00pm. Payment
processing will be as follows:
Run one: Any payments entered between 3:01am and 1:00pm,
on any business day, can be modified or deleted anytime prior
to the 1:00pm processing time.
Run two: Any payments entered between 1:01pm and 2:59am,
on any business day, can be modified or deleted anytime prior
to the 3:00am processing time. Please review these two examples:
Electronic Example:
The due date for a bill is the 15th of the month. If the vendor
accepts electronic payments, the bill should be scheduled
to be paid 3-4 business days before it is due. In this case,
the bill is scheduled to be paid on the 12th. At 3:00 a.m.
on the 12th, a transaction is generated. The transaction is
then sent electronically to the vendor and your account is
debited. The vendor posts the transaction on the 14th or 15th.
Check Example: The due
date for a bill is the 15th of the month. The vendor does
not accept electronic payments, so a check must be printed
and mailed. In order to make sure the check is delivered on
time, the bill should be scheduled for payment with sufficient
time to allow for the post office to deliver the check before
it is due. In this case, the bill is scheduled to be paid
on the 10th. At 1:00 p.m. on the 10th, a check is printed
and mailed. Your account is debited when the check clears
your account, just as if you wrote the check yourself.
Please take into consideration holidays, weekends and payee
processing time, as CSB is not responsible for any late payments.
How do I know a bill was paid?
You will know the bill was paid when your check has
cleared or the funds are debited from your account. You can
monitor this through the transaction feature in you account
history.
How do I get started?
Just follow the BillPay
Guide.
