CSB To Renovate South Clay Banking Center and Consolidate Downtown Millersburg Locations
Rick L. Ginther, President and CEO of The Commercial & Savings Bank announced plans to remodel CSB’s Banking Center located at 91 South Clay Street, Millersburg beginning in early April. Drive-thru, ATM, and night depository services at the South Clay Banking Center will remain open for customer use throughout the construction period. South Clay’s lobby will be closed for renovations from mid April until reopening in early May. The Bank’s West Jackson Street and Clinton Commons Banking Centers in Millersburg will be open to service customers during the construction period.
Ginther further stated that upon completion of renovations at the South Clay Banking Center, and pending regulatory approval, the 6 West Jackson Street office will be consolidated into the South Clay facility. Over a period of years, the Bank has relocated all lending, trust, investment and administrative services, which formerly occupied the 6 West Jackson Street office, to the corporate offices at 91 North Clay Street. “Since we consolidated all operations into North Clay Street, we have experienced a significant decline in customer usage of the 6 West Jackson Street location. As a result the facility has become very underutilized by the bank and we are exploring alternative uses for the building with local civic and community leaders,” stated Ginther.
Ginther continued, “South Clay, with its convenient parking, drive-thru service, and handicap access, is one of our highest activity locations. Remodeling this office will allow us to service our Millersburg customers better and will also provide an attractive improvement to the downtown area. West Jackson Street staff members will transfer to other nearby CSB Banking Center locations so customers can continue to transact business with familiar faces.”
CSB expects the facility improvement project to be completed by late
spring. Bank customers will be advised when the 6 West Jackson Street
office consolidation with South Clay will be finalized.
